Molly Kastendieck
Molly was born and raised in Baltimore, MD and spent much of her professional career in DC working for George Washington University. Molly’s passion for wine started in the vineyards of Northern Virginia where she and her partner, Andrew, used to pair long hikes with an afternoon tasting on most weekends.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2016, Molly and Andrew discovered Paso Robles on a winter RV trip through California. It was love at first sight. Since that trip, they visited Paso 4-5 times a year, making a point to try new wineries and learn about the many varietals offered in the area.
Molly and Andrew have explored different wine regions throughout the Willamette Valley, Walla Walla, Corvallis, Napa, Sonoma, and even into the Okanagan Valley BC. After some travel across the country, in early 2020 they decided to relocate to Paso Robles. Living locally has given Molly the opportunity to really hone in on the variety of wine, food, and culture that Paso has to offer. It really is a place for everyone and Molly looks forward to helping others discover their love for this place.
Shelbi Wilson
Shelbi was born and raised in Paso Robles, California. Her parents supported her love for hospitality and encouraged her to pursue her passion. She has worked within the wine industry for 16 years in Paso Robles.
Shelbi cut her teeth as the Assistant Wine Buyer for The Pony Club at Hotel Cheval, downtown Paso. She worked under a level 3 Sommelier who taught her all about amazing international wines, in addition to local favorites. There she learned the ropes of boutique hotel hospitality and the ins and outs of the wine world. She then went on to be the Wine Club Manager at Jada, the Operations Manager at Brochelle Vineyards, The Tasting Room Manager at Halter Ranch and the Hospitality Manager at Niner Wine Estates.
Most recently she has been able to pursue her long-time dream of being the General Manager of a hometown wine bar, The Paso Robles Wine Merchant while beginning her own business in her community. Her passion for the wine industry and for the social fabric of Paso Robles has never wavered and is why she is so equipped to plan your special trip to her hometown.
